Raymond G. Slaidins: Artist, Designer and Architect

Welcome to my SlaidinsArt.com!

I always find difficult to select a few dozen paintings from a studio full of art - all equally dear to me. Therefore I turned to my last and to my next one-man exhibits, where the decisions were made with the help of others. Thus most samples here are from “Colors of California” shows in Europe.
And as such, it probably represents quite well what I do today. My earlier work would include also periods of searching – from very realistic to completely abstract work. Future changes in my gallery might show samples of those two work directions.
Presently my regular participation with the local Marin Art Society monthly shows keep my painting schedule active.
    “
As I see it” expresses my thoughts on art today.
    My
Biography tells you where I came from.
      In
Architectural Illustration you see a collage of ink drawings from my earlier professional business.

Here are my tools:

-paint tubes, brushes, palette knives, pencils, pastels, charcoal sticks, ink pens, markers, and other materials that give me the effects I want through lines and colors. They allow me to produce all the work for my Gallery, which for your viewing I have divided according to the materials and tools used, in three major defined categories as: Paintings, Watercolors and Sketches.
